El Proyecto de Fortalecimiento de la Enseñanza de Inglés como Lengua Extranjera tiene como objetivo principal el que los estudiantes ecuatorianos alcancen un nivel funcional de uso de la lengua inglesa. Sus iniciativas concretas están dirigidas a la actualización de los currÃculos nacionales de esa asignatura, a la entrega de libros de texto alineados a dichos currÃculos, al desarrollo profesional de docentes de inglés en ejercicio, y al mejoramiento de la formación en esa carrera profesional.
